Today, let’s delve into an often overlooked yet profound quality for sales excellence: intuition.

If you’ve been in any of my workshops, I always recommend the practice of active listening – seeing with your eyes, hearing with your ears, and sensing with your intuition.

Your intuition guides your thinking, helps act from a space of self-awareness and smoothly navigate client interactions.

Here are 3 key practices that will always serve you well.

1.A Meditation Practice

When you meditate, you are able to control the instinctual and be far more intentional.

I call it slowing down to achieve more.

As the saying goes, “Slow is smooth and smooth is fast”

This leads into elevation.

2.Intentional Elevation

Meditation will help you develop elevation in your customer conversation. You develop the ability to observe you and the customer in action, as if from a third-party perspective.

Elevation allows you to fully understand all the forces at play, the context and the subtext.

3.Daily Reflection

Take a few minutes every day to review your interactions and decisions, allowing your intuition to reveal hidden patterns and possibilities. Reflection is your hidden superpower to discover what you could be doing differently or better.

These 3 practices allow space for your intuition to guide you.

When this happens,

You catch the blindspots.

You understand what is not being articulated.

You sense what is being missed by others.

Here is how you can integrate this with your sales culture.

After every client meeting, debrief the head, the heart and the gut.

The head is what you heard, said and did.

The heart is how you feel.

The gut is what you sensed.

This confluence will enable you to accelerate and achieve more.
